Drug, harassment charges filed after downtown fracas

Five individuals are facing charges after a fight in downtown Jamestown last week. Around midnight Wednesday, Jamestown Police Department officers responded to the area of the Wine Cellar for multiple subjects fighting. Upon arrival, officers attempted to disburse the crowd but located Marc Staples actively trying to continue the fight. Officers attempted to remove Staples from the situation at which time he became combative with officers. Staples was quickly taken into custody. City man jailed after gunshot incident involving child, car

A Jamestown man is facing charges after complaints of gunshots being fired last week. David J. Figueroa, 43, was charged with two counts of first-degree reckless endangerment, fourth-degree criminal mischief and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon. Officers of the Jamestown Police Department responded to several calls of a gunshot complaint near a South East residential street around 8 p.m. Wednesday.
