Sheridan winery fined $1,000 for missed water reports

A winery in the northern end of the county has once again been fined after missing multiple water reports. During the Chautauqua County Board of Health meeting, it was announced there were 11 Agreements to Settle for public water supply violations. All businesses cited are on private well water and are required to do various reporting. Most of the businesses or organizations fined were for one or two reports missing. Battery storage company buys property in Dunkirk

A company that is looking to place a Battery Energy Storage System in the northern end of the county has bought property, even though no final approvals have been made. According to real estate documents at the Chautauqua County Clerk’s Office, on April 17 Press Holdings, LLC sold a parcel on Brigham Road to GCI Lighthouse Lando, LLC for $550,000. There are no structures on the property, which is 15 acres and sits between two railroads lines.
