The Northern Chautauqua Canine Rescue Dogs of the Week are a lot of seven puppies, including TJ, CeCe and JJ, pictured. The pups’ parents are unknown, but it is believed they will be medium-sized adults and possibly are collie mixed with hound. The shelter, located at 7540 N. Gale St., Westfield, will host an open house from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday. All the dogs and pups can be seen at caninerescue.org. Usual shelter hours are 1-3 p.m. Monday through Saturday or by appointment by calling 326-7297. Those interested in adopting a puppy can fill out an application online; completing an app doesn’t commit anyone to an adoption. To reduce foot traffic and keep the puppies healthy, only approved adopters will be allowed to meet the pups.
