Route 60 Closed Between Cassadaga And Fredonia; Temporary Shelter Being Prepared

Chautauqua County Emergency Services are preparing to open a temporary shelter for drivers currently stuck on Route 60.

As of 8:40 p.m., all northbound trafffic on Route 60 has ceased. Bypasses on Glasgow Road and Route 380 are currently flooded and closed off to traffic as well. Southbound traffic on Route 60 is being rerouted in Laona.

Chautauqua County Fire Police are assisting with road closures on Frisbee Road in Cassadaga and on routes 60 and 83.

A slew of road closures throughout the county began pouring in just after 8 p.m. Road closures include: Route 60 between Webster and Spoden Road in Fredonia; Route 380 near Cemetery Road in Stockton; and West Main Road in Sherman.

Fire departments were also called to a number of flooded basements in the Jamestown, Sinclairville, Westfield and Brocton areas throughout the evening.
