FREDONIA — Kinslee Motter scored 15 kills, an ace, two blocks and made one assist with 11 digs as Chautauqua Lake defeated Fredonia 25-20, 17-25, 25-21, 25-20 in nonleague volleyball action on Friday. Wrestling officials classes begin next week

Anyone interested in becoming a certified wrestling official, can begin that process next week. The first meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m. Monday in the wrestling room at Jamestown Community College. For more information, contact Lou at 716-499-1865.

Umpire classes begin next week

Umpire training classes, conducted by the Chautauqua County Baseball Umpires Association, will begin next week at Cassadaga Valley High School. The classes, which will run 6:30-8:30 p.m. every Wednesday from Oct. 14 to Nov. 18, are open to anyone 18 and older. There is no charge.
