Sherry, Concejo go 1-1 at sectionals

ORCHARD PARK — Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association singles players went 2-5 while doubles teams went 1-4 at the Section VI Boys Tennis Championships, hosted last week by Orchard Park High School. Fredonia senior Jackson Spangler came the closest to qualifying for the state meet, reaching the semifinals in the singles bracket. Spangler beat Barker’s Dan Goodwin 6-0, 6-1 in the first round and Olmsted’s Samir Fares 3-6, 6-3, 6-2 in the second round.
