Cardinals Roll Timberwolves; Black Knights Prevail In Overtime

RANDOLPH — Gianna Bowles scored four goals to power Randolph past Cattaraugus-Little Valley 7-2 in Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association Division 2 girls soccer action Wednesday.
Serena Smith provided another two goals for the Cardinals (12-1-0, 9-0-0), while Ella Monroe scored once and Kyler Patterson, Carra Sevenish, Erin Little and Ava Sears had one assist apiece. Harper Russell made two saves in net to secure the win.
Cattaraugus-Little Valley (7-7-0, 5-4-0) was led by Rebekah Butcher with a goal and an assist, while Talon Bramer scored the other goal. Emma West was called upon for 26 saves by the Timberwolves.
BLACK KNIGHTS PREVAIL IN OT
SILVER CREEK — Meadow Azzarella scored her second goal in overtime and lifted Silver Creek/Forestville past Westfield/Brocton 2-1 in Division 3.
Eliza Mahaney made five saves for the Silver Creek/Forestville (7-6-1, 4-4-1) win.
Avery Swank scored the lone Westfield/Brocton (7-4-2, 4-3-2) goal and Colie Bundy made 14 saves in net.
BEARS EDGE MARAUDERS
FREWSBURG — Jaden Jimerson provided a goal and an assist as Frewsburg defeated Dunkirk 3-0 in Division 3.
Brook Lee and Ellie Cappa also scored for Frewsburg (12-1-1, 9-0-0), while Rozlyn Haglund and Ava Krofka picked up an assist apiece. Elysse Gruber made just one save in the clean sheet effort.
Dunkirk (2-10-1, 0-8-1) received a whopping 24 saves from Celeste Bautista.
TONELLI POWERS FREDONIA
OLEAN — Cece Tonelli scored four goals as Fredonia rolled Olean 4-0 in Division 1 action.
Mady Polhamus and Callie Draggett picked up one assist apiece for Fredonia (9-4-1, 6-4-1), while Naomi Muck made just one save for the clean sheet.
Olean (1-12-1, 0-10-1) received eight saves from Audrey Hoffman in net.
EAGLES GET BY WARRIORS
ELLICOTTVILLE — Juleana Lyon scored twice as Ellicottville defeated Salamanca 2-1 in Division 2 play.
Eliza Murray and Juliana O’Connell picked up an assist apiece for Ellicottville (8-5-0, 6-3-0), while Ady Andrews made 10 saves in net.
Addy Earley scored from Brielle Massagli for Salamanca’s (5-8-0, 5-4-0) only goal, while Kendra Bova Redeye made three saves.
FRANKLINVILLE POSTS WIN
FRANKLINVILLE — Addison Chamberlain’s first half goal from Alayna Spittler was enough for Franklinville as it defeated Pine Valley/Gowanda 2-0 in Division 2.
Mya Sullivan added an insurance goal from Grace Cornell in the second half and Kalina Gonzales made five saves for the Franklinville (3-10-0, 2-7-0) clean sheet.
Pine Valley/Gowanda falls to 0-13-0 overall and 0-8-0 in division play.
