Frewsburg Central School And Spectrum Eyecare Claim ‘Battle’ Wins

Frewsburg Central School earned 100 first-place points in the YMCA Battle of the Businesses’ large division volleyball tournament Tuesday evening at the Jamestown YMCA. Frewsburg Central School won the Battle of the Businesses large division volleyball tournament at the Jamestown YMCA on Tuesday, while Spectrum Eyecare took home the victory in the large division stones event at Brewers Hollow.
Frewsburg’s volleyball team consisted of Nick Babcock, Shane Marucci, Kyle Nelson, Amanda Pinciaro, Emily Spielman and Jeff Uebelhoer.
The squad finished the night by beating Falconer in a 25-18 final game.
Cummins finished in third place.
In the stones competition, Spectrum Eyecare topped Jamestown Bar Association/City Court (second) and G.A. Family Services/Family Health Medical Services (third).
Overall, Cummins (730 points) and Trinity Biotech/Greater Chautauqua Federal Credit Union (575 points) lead the large and small divisions respectively.
The YMCA Battle continues tonight with large division stones at Brewers Hollow at 5 p.m., small division curling at Northwest Arena at 6 p.m. and cornhole at the Gold Star building in Falconer at 6 p.m.
