Cannon’s Lone Goal Lifts Chautauqua Lake To Victory
SILVER CREEK — Avery Cannon scored from Addison Chess in the 12th minute of the second half as Chautauqua Lake beat Silver Creek/Forestville 1-0 in Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association Division 3 girls soccer Monday.
Lucy Gates made 10 saves to earn the clean sheet for the Eagles (2-3-0, 2-0-0).
The Black Knights fell to 2-3-0 overall and 0-2-0 in the league.
ROTH NETS A PAIR
SINCLAIRVILLE — Julianna Roth scored a pair of second-half goals as Falconer/Cassadaga Valley/Maple Grove shut out Jamestown 4-0 in Division 1 play.
Sydnee Snow scored from Kylie Kress in the ninth minute and Lily McPherson tallied from Mary Lundmark in the 38th minute as the Golden Cougars (3-1-0, 3-0-0) took a 2-0 halftime lead.
After the break, Roth scored unassisted in the 60th minute and then from Brynn Helms in the 67th minute.
Ellyson Baglia made three saves in net for Falconer/Cassadaga Valley/Maple Grove.
JaLeiya Glover made 11 saves for the Red & Green (0-5-1, 0-3-1).
BRAMER SCORES TWICE
CATTARAUGUS — Talon Bramer scored twice, including the go-ahead goal in the 46th minute as Cattaraugus-Little Valley beat Franklinville 2-1 in Division 2 action.
Bramer scored from Laura Tackentien in the 21st minute for the Timberwolves (2-3-0, 1-1-0) before Addison Chamberlain scored from Alayna Spittler in the 34th minute to tie the game for the Panthers (0-4-0, 0-2-0).
Bramer’s eventual game-winning goal in the second half was assisted by Candice Brown.
Emma West made four saves for Cattaraugus-Little Valley and Kierra Knoblach made six saves for Franklinville.
CARDINALS BLANK ELLICOTTVILLE
ELLICOTTVILLE — Gianna Bowles scored twice as Randolph topped Ellicottville 5-0 in Division 2.
Serena Smith scored from Ava Sears in the opening minute of the game and Ella Monroe scored from Smith in the third minute as the Cardinals (5-1-0, 2-0-0) led 2-0 at halftime.
After the break, Sears scored from Jenna Anderson and Bowles scored a pair of unassisted goals.
Harper Russell made one save in the clean sheet for Randolph. Ella Weber made eight saves and Ady Andrews made one for the Eagles (2-3-0, 1-1-0).
ECKWAHL RECORDS HAT TRICK
FREWSBURG — Audrey Eckwahl scored three times as Frewsburg beat Westfield/Brocton 5-1 in Division 3.
Eckwahl scored from Ava Krofka in the 12th minute, unassisted in the 26th minute and from Ellie Cappa in the 52nd minute for the Bears (4-1-0, 2-0-0). Jaden Jimerson also scored from Rozlyn Haglund and Haglund scored unassisted.
Avery Swank scored the lone goal for the Wolverines (2-1-1. 1-1-1).
Elysse Gruber made five saves for Frewsburg and Colie Bundy made 15 saves for Westfield/Brocton.
NORTH COLLINS SHUTS OUT DUNKIRK
NORTH COLLINS — Peyton Teijeira scored twice as North Collins topped Dunkirk 3-0 in Division 3.
Hannah Jasinski also scored for the Eagles (3-0-2, 1-0-1). Mya Tanis and Mikayla Haskell recorded a pair of saves in the clean sheet.
The Marauders fell to 2-3-0 overall and 0-2-0 in the league.
SALAMANCA POURS IN 15 GOALS
SALAMANCA — Myla Galante had three goals and an assist while Ireland Fidurko also had three goals in Salamanca’s 15-0 Division 2 shutout of Pine Valley/Gowanda.
Kurryn Glowacki and Eloise Brown each scored twice; Avianna Stahlman and Arleigh Chudy each had a goal and two assists; Brielle Massagli, Sophia Hodara and Keira Bova each scored a goal; and Addy Earley had two assists for the Warriors (2-4-0, 1-0-0).
Kendra Bova Redeye made one save in the clean sheet.
The Panthers fell to 0-4-0 overall and 0-1-0 in the league.
FREDONIA TIES GATORS
FREDONIA — Cecelia Tonelli scored twice as Fredonia tied Allegany-Limestone 2-2 in Division 1 play at SUNY Fredonia.
Mady Polhamus and Callie Draggett each had an assist for the Hillbillies (4-1-1, 1-1-1). Naomi Muck made six saves for the hosts.
The Gators fell to 1-5-1 overall and 1-2-1 in the league.
