Low-Scoring 4th Quarter Goes Salamanca’s Way
SALAMANCA — Seven players found the scoring column as Salamanca beat Pioneer 32-31 in nonleague action.
The Panthers (1-2) led 27-26 entering the final eight minutes before the Warriors (1-1) won a low-scoring quarter 6-4.
Makenzie Crouse and Maliyah Foster each had a field goal — Foster’s giving Salamanca the lead with two minutes remaining — while Kynleigh Wass and Foster each added a free throw during the fourth quarter.
Jayden Leederman led Pioneer with 15 points.
