GOWANDA — Corrina John hit four 3-pointers and poured in 22 points to lead Gowanda past Chautauqua Lake 53-39 in nonleague girls basketball action on Friday.

Addison Kota contributed 10 points and Lily Scanlan scored seven in the Panthers effort (1-0)

Chautauqua Lake (0-1) was led by Kaylee Tarr shooting 8 for 16, along with seven free throws for a game-high 23 points. Tarr also collected eight rebounds and two steals, Gracie Gerring pulled in seven rebounds and dealt three assists and Brina Jacobson had seven boards.

FALCONER — Augustine Krenzer scored 9 points, hauled in 12 rebounds, dealt three assists and grabbed five steals to lead the Golden Falcons past Olean 38-31 in nonleague action.

Brynn Helms added three steals for Falconer, Sydnee Snow made four steals, Addison Calimeri had two blocks, Ellyson Baglia reeled in six boards and Nazariah Neal delivered four assists.

Olean was led by Alaina Hirliman with 13 points, Viktoriia Lazyska hauled in nine boards, while Ava Finch made seven rebounds and three steals.

WESTFIELD — Gianna Sirianni rained in four 3-pointers and scored a game-high 21 points as Southwestern defeated Westfield 50-37 in nonleague play.

Charlotte Beaver added another 15 points for the Trojans as they jumped out to a 17-4 lead after the first quarter and never looked back.
