Kress, Roth Score Dueling Hat Tricks In F/CV/MG Win Over Huskies
FALCONER — Kylie Kress and Julianna Roth both netted hat tricks as Falconer/Cassadaga Valley/Maple Grove rolled Olean 8-0 in Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association Division 1 action Thursday at Bill Race Field.
Sydnee Snow picked up a goal and an assist for the Golden Cougars (6-2, 3-1), Madilyn Seastrum scored once, while Alex Caldwell, Natalie Dossey and Ashlynn Smith each had one assist.
Ellyson Baglia made just one save for the clean sheet, while Emma Edwards made 11 saves for Olean (1-7, 0-4).
JOHNSON HATTY LIFTS TROJANS
Avery Johnson scored a hat trick in Southwestern’s 5-1 Division 1 victory over Jamestown at Strider Field.
Kaylyn Carnes picked up four assists for the Trojans (5-2-0, 3-1-0), Marlana Cresanti scored a goal and an assist and Emma Malmstrom Jouannet scored once. Braya Beaver reeled in four saves to maintain the victory.
The lone goal for Jamestown (2-7-0, 0-4-0) came from Brielle Berg assisted by Kate Kathman and Abbee Brandow made 10 saves in net.
GATORS TOP FREDONIA
ALLEGANY — Four unanswered goals lifted Allegany-Limestone past Fredonia 4-1 in Division 1.
Cait Kellog scored a pair and dealt one assist for the Gators (9-0-0, 4-0-0), Madison and Kennedy Honeck had a goal each, and both Addie Fisher and Liza Giardini had assists. Chloe Baker made two saves for the victory.
Cece Tonelli got the scoring started with an assist from Nora Polhamus and Naomi Muck made 12 saves for Fredonia (4-5-0, 2-2-0)
BOWLES DOMINATES FOR CARDS
RANDOLPH — Gianna Bowles netted four goals and made four assists in Randolph’s dominant 10-0 win over Pine Valley/Gowanda in Division 2.
Ava Sears added a hat trick and an assist for Randolph (5-2-1, 4-1-1), Quinn Pence scored two with an assist, Sadie Steward found the back of the net once and both Ella Monroe and Sara Smith had an assist. Jade McMaster made all three saves she was needed for.
Sandy Ivett made 21 saves for the Panthers (1-7-0, 1-5-0) and Sarah Kruszka collected another nine in net.
PORTVILLE TRIMS ELLICOTTVILLE
PORTVILLE — Grace Gariepy’s two goals were enough for Portville to knock off Ellicottville 4-1 in Division 2 action.
Gianna Aloi added a goal and an assist for the Panthers (8-1-0, 6-0-0), Ashley Carls scored once and Matilde Brotto dealt an assist. Bella Morales made three saves to pick up the win in net.
Drew Ficek scored the lone Ellicottville (7-1-1, 5-1-1) goal, while Courtney Marsh made nine saves in net.
FRANKLINVILLE EARNS WIN
FRANKLINVILLE — A goal and an assist from Nadia Bowers lifted Franklinville past Cattaraugus-Little Valley 2-1 in Division 2.
Molly Witter scored the first goal for the Panthers (1-6-1, 1-5-0), Addison Chamberlain picked up an assist and Taylor Chase made three saves.
The Timberwolves (1-7-0, 1-5-0) received 13 saves from Kierra Knobloch.
JIMERSON SHINES FOR BEARS
DUNKIRK — Ava Jimerson scored three goals and dealt three assists as Frewsburg cruised past Dunkirk 12-0 for a Division 3 victory.
Audrey Eckwahl collected a hat trick and an assist for the Bears (9-1-0, 5-0-0), Taytum Jimerson scored twice and assisted three, Brionna Dumaine scored once and had the helper on two, Charlie Lombardo netted a pair, Sopheia Bennett potted one goal, and Calynn Sigular, Jaden Jimerson and Kealy Caflisch each had one assist. Elysse Gruber made one save for the clean sheet and Caflisch played the other half in net.
With the loss Dunkirk falls to 0-6-0 overall and 0-5-0.
EAGLES SOAR
BUFFALO — Breanna Kaczanowski scored a goal and two assists to get North Collins past Buffalo Seminary in nonleague action 4-1.
Miranda Bartosik and Lilly Klubek both scored once for the Eagles (4-3-0, 2-2-0 CCAA D3), while Mya Tanis and Lily Montaldi had two saves each in the contest.
