Lending A Hand

Chautauqua Striders has announced a significant donation by Shults Auto Group. The donation was made in the form of a car, which Shults donated and was subsequently auctioned off for $3,000 at the Greater Erie Auto Auction on April 23. All proceeds directly benefit the organization’s programs. “We are very grateful for the generosity and support Shults Auto Group provides us, not only in unexpected one-of-a-kind opportunities like this, but also by supporting our annual golf scramble and other events throughout the year,” said Jen Swan-Leuze, executive director of Chautauqua Striders. The Chautauqua Striders annual golf scramble is set for May 17 at South Hills Country Club. More information can be found at www.chqstriders.org/athletics. Chautauqua Striders has a long history of positively impacting the lives of youth in Chautauqua County. Through various initiatives, including tutoring, academic enrichment, mentoring, social-emotional learning and athletic programs, the organization fosters personal growth, leadership skills and a sense of community.
