Collin Bragg and Greyson Whitfield combined on a four-hitter with 11 strikeouts as the Diamond Dawgs beat MMB Bandits Blue 12-2 in the semifinals.

MMB Bandits Blue took a 2-0 lead in the second inning before the Diamond Dawgs answered with a six-run third inning.

Curtis Spielman and Caden Lacki led off the inning with back-to-back walks before Hunter Nelsen hit an RBI single to right field. Lacki then scored on a wild pitch before Cory Troutman drove in Nelsen with a hard-hit ball past the MMB Bandits Blue shortstop.

Jack Butzer and Lukas Youngberg later reached on fielder’s choices ahead of Huxley Hale’s RBI single to center field. Jaxson Swanson walked to load the bases before Hale and Youngberg scored on wild pitches.

The Diamond Dawgs put the game away with a five-run fourth inning.

Bragg and Whitfield walked to open the frame before Liam Mulkins hit a two-run double to center field. Benton Thies and Spielman followed with walks before Mulkins scored on a wild pitch. Lacki then hit a two-run single to make it 11-2.

The Diamond Dawgs’ final run came in the fifth as Youngberg walked and eventually scored on an RBI single by Bragg.
