SALAMANCA — Salamanca held Lake Shore scoreless in the second half, but a 9-2 halftime deficit proved too much to overcome as the Eagles beat the Warriors 9-8 in the Conference 3 girls lacrosse opener for both teams Wednesday at a snowy Veterans Park.
Aubrey Hogan led Salamanca with four goals and Shea Monathan scored twice, while Beya John and Karina Crouse each added a goal.
Acey Stevens led the comeback with several stops in net for the Warriors.
