Salamanca Tops Nonleague Dunkirk

SALAMANCA — Acey Stevens had nine kills, three aces and two blocks as Salamanca beat Dunkirk 25-23, 19-25, 25-17, 25-11 in nonleague volleyball action Friday.

Karina Mireles-Crouse had eight kills, six digs, five aces and a block; Faith Papke had four kills, 17 assists and four aces; and Lezly McComber had 10 digs for the Warriors (3-8, 1-7 CCAA East).

The Marauders, who are 0-7 in the Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association Division 1 West, fell to 0-9 overall.

BULLDOGS EDGE C-LV

BROCTON — Julia Miller had eight kills, two blocks, two aces and an assist to lead Brocton to a 25-23, 25-23, 26-24 nonleague win over Cattaraugus-Little Valley.

Evie Morrison had seven assists, two kills and two digs; Andrea Spiller had six assists, a block, a dig and an ace; and Zoe Spiller had four kills, five aces and a dig for the Bulldogs (2-9, 0-7 CCAA D2 West).

The Timberwolves, who are 1-7 in CCAA East play, fell to 1-10 overall.

LEAD RED DRAGONS

BEMUS POINT — Eliza Dawes had 14 kills, three digs and three aces while Erin Mansfield added 14 assists, 13 digs, an ace and a block to lead Maple Grove past Cassadaga Valley 25-15, 25-20, 27-25 in Division 2 West action Thursday.

Lily Benedetto had five digs and an ace; Hannah Benson had three kills; Laken Raynor had two assists; Harper Dawes had two aces, a kill and a block; and Rachael King had two aces and two kills for the Red Dragons.

Allison Wakelee had nine assists, six digs and two kills; Jordan Austin had four kills, three digs and a block; and Madilynne Hattaway had three kills, three aces and block.
