Rosters Set For NY/PA Corporate Cup Soccer Showcase

Rosters have been finalized for this year’s New York/Pennsylvania Corporate Cup Soccer Showcase, which will be held Sunday, July 24 at Bradford High School.
There will be Gold and Silver games this year with 161 players participating on eight teams. The girls Silver match is set for noon with the boys Silver match to follow at 2:30 p.m. The girls Gold match will begin at approximately 5 p.m. with the boys Gold match to follow at 7:30 p.m.
The game is an official Under Armour game pitting the best players from northwestern Pennsylvania against the top players from southwestern New York. New York’s boys and girls Gold teams will be wearing white kits and the Silver teams will wear a blue kit. Pennsylvania’s Gold teams will wear black and the Silver teams will wear red. New York goalkeepers will wear pink and Pennsylvania goalkeepers will wear purple.
Last year’s games at Bradner Stadium in Olean drew approximately 2,000 spectators.
Mike Shaffer of St. Marys’ will be the Pennsylvania boys Gold head coach with assistants Matt Erickson of DuBois, T.J. Weaver of Elk County Catholic and Chris Darling of Warren. The team will be made up of Warren’s Will Nebinski, Mark Lynds, Jack Darling, Roman Sheets, Parks Ordiway and Ethan Best; Port Allegany’s Ty Guilds and River Cramer; Ridgway’s Jack Benninger; Clearfield’s Evan Davis; Elk County Catholic’s Timothy Brannock and Anthony Messineo; Bradford’s Andrew Mangold and Mitchell Strauss; Johnsonburg’s Aaron Myers and Caden Smiley; Matthew Palmer, Collin Kline and Aiden McKay of St. Marys; and Kane’s Jonathon Mishic, Justin Mishic and Josh Greville.

Hinsdale’s Devin Kinney will be the head coach of the New York boys Gold team with assistants J.J. McIntosh of Portville, Jon Luce of Allegany-Limestone, Mike Zilker of Bolivar-Richburg and Nick Perillo of Cuba-Rushford. The team will be made up of Frewsburg’s Connor Murray and Zack Carr; Portville’s Christian Gariepy and Kyle Mathes; Allegany-Limestone’s Hudson Kwiatkowski, Eric Spring, Chance LaCroix, Zach Luce, Jack Conroy and Tyler Griffin; Fillmore’s Mitch Ward and Damon Wood; Olean’s Quintin Allen and Alex Linderman; Ellicottville’s Sam Edwards; Falconer’s Ethyn Gilbert; Hinsdale’s Damion Brown; Cuba-Rushford’s Chandler Wirth; Bolivar-Richburg’s Hunter Stuck and Reiss Gaines; Belfast’s Matt Weaver; and Genesee Valley’s Joseph Ward.

His assistants will be Curwensville’s Maddie Williams, Kane’s Brittany Sprankle and Elk County Catholic’s Michaela Cashmer. The team will be made up of Kane’s Emily Stephan-Payne and Macie Johnson; Curwensville’s Tiffany Bloom and Breanne Spencer; Bradford’s Maddy Cowburn, Kiara Hogue, Bella Prince, Abbie Nuzzo, Emily Prince, Lauren Placer and Marissa Miller; Elk County Catholic’s Italia Cicione and Allison Geci; DuBois’ Kamryn Fontaine, Stefanie Hoyt, Jasmine Carney and Mariah Allen; Warren’s Hailey Peterson, Eliza Brook and Georgie Bickling; and Lucia Hayes and Sophia Radkowski of St. Marys.
Duane Powers of Belfast is the head coach of the New York girls Gold team and his assistants are: Dale MacArthur of Allegany-Limestone, Mark Emery of Bolivar-Richburg, Scott Stone of Frewsburg and John Fitzpatrick of Hinsdale. The team is made up of Fillmore’s Preslee Miller, Grace Russell and Hope Russell; Olean’s Lily Schena, Allie Stayer, Emily Gibbons, Madison Jones and Emma Edwards; Portville’s Kendall Artlip; Ellicottville’s Mandy Hurlburg and Brooke Butler; Hinsdale’s Francesca Childs; Allegany-Limestone’s Abigail Peck, Addison Fisher and Payton Fortuna; Falconer’s Kayla Lynn; Frewsburg’s Ashlyn Samuelson, Jacey Cappa, Tyra Clark, Alex Hultberg and Reagan Chitester; and Genesee Valley’s Adison Grusendorf.
Evan Schmidt of Bradford is the head coach and Weaver is the assistant coach for the Pennsylvania boys Silver team.
