Panthers Defeat Trojans

PANAMA — Panama defeated Southwestern in four sets, 30-28, 19-25, 27-25, 25-21 for a nonleague girls volleyball victory on Monday night.

The Panthers were led by Jo Bailey with 13 kills, 13 blocks five digs and four aces; Mandy Brink with two kills, 19 assists, one block, 18 digs and two aces; Sarah Harvey with nine kills, 11 digs and one ace; and Lilly Odell with seven kills, three digs and four aces; Corinne Brink with 15 digs and one ace; and Kylie Morgan with four kills and seven blocks.

Southwestern was led by Anna Rough with 18 kills, 16 digs and one ace; Lauren Cotter with 12 kills, two blocks, 21 digs and five aces; and Arrington Restivo with four kills, 31 assists, 11 digs and one ace.

The Panthers improved to 12-4 overall while Southwestern dropped to 11-5 overall.

NORTH COLLINS

GOWANDA — Gowanda delivered the North Collins volleyball team its second loss in five sets, 28-26, 25-19, 20-25, 26-28, 25-19 for a Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association East Division victory.

The Panthers took the first two sets, but the Eagles attempted to rally back and came up short in the fifth set. The Eagles effort was led by Cate Ayers with 20 assists and McKenna Rice with 14 kills.

North Collins finished the regular season with a record of 12-2 overall and in league. With the victory Gowanda moved to 11-2 in the league and 11-3 overall.

RANDOLPH WINS

RANDOLPH — Randolph swept Pine Valley in 3 sets, 25-12, 25-4, 25-15 for an East Division victory.

The Cardinals were led by Eve Adams with eight kills, eight digs and four aces; Rian Finch with eight kills; Payton Morrison with seven kills and three aces; and Mya Abrams with 17 assists and five aces.

Randolph improved to 11-5 overall and 10-2 in league while Pine Valley dropped to 8-9 overall and 5-8 in league.

PANAMA BEATS FALCONER

FALCONER — Panama defeated Falconer in five sets, 16-25, 25-22, 25-20, 21-25, 25-22 for a nonleague win on Friday.

The Panthers were led by Jo Bailey with 17 kills, 10 blocks, three digs and two aces; Sarah Harvey with nine kills, 25 digs and one ace; Kylie Morgan with eight kills and three blocks; Lilly Odell with five kills and eight digs; and Mandy Brink with 27 assists, 20 digs and five aces.

The Golden Falcons were led by Emily Melquist with 24 kills, 15 digs and one ace; Ava Fenton with 23 assists, 12 digs and one ace; and Dani Krenzer with 10 kills, 15 digs and two aces.
