The Jayhawks (6-9, 4-4 Region 3 West) found their offense in the second game, scoring seven unanswered runs in the first three innings. Sophomore designated hitter Nick Rini (Powhatan, Virginia/Knock) got the scoring going early, hitting a two-run double on a line drive to center field, bringing home freshman shortstop Ethan Abegg (Commerce City, Colorado/Prarie View) and sophomore right fielder Wyatt Hennessy (Mukwongago, Wisconsin/Mukwonago).

In the second, Abegg scored on a passed ball to make it 5-0 in favor of the Jayhawks. Later in the inning, Rini showed his wheels, stealing home to make it 6-0.

JCC scored its final run of the game as Hennessy flew out to center field on a sacrifice fly, driving in freshman centerfielder Ayden Reagle (Jamestown/Maple Grove).
