Lady Panthers Win 16th Straight Volleyball Match

MAYVILLE — Panama sealed up another Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association Central division title, improving to 16-0 on the year with a 25-11, 25-1, 25-14 win over Chautauqua Lake on Thursday.

Kylie Schnars had 21 kills and five blocks; Natalie Angeletti 12 kills, seven blocks and two digs; Maddie Johnson 33 assists and three digs; while Mandy Brink added 15 digs and two kills.

Sophie Woodis had eight kills and one block; Ava Olson collected four kills, eight digs and three assists; Jenna Waters added 15 digs and three assists; and Mackenzie Zemcik had three kills and one block for the Thunderbirds (10-2).

FALCONS ROLL

FALCONER — Falconer picked up a 3-1 win over Brocton, prevailing 25-2, 23-25, 25-13, 25-8.

Leading the Golden Falcons (8-7, 8-4) were Emily Melquist with 11 kills, five digs and one ace; Serena Camarata with nine assists, 12 digs, five aces and four kills; Rachael Harper with nine aces, eight kills and four digs; Ava Fenton with 14 assists, four digs, two aces and two kills; and Julia Mead with four aces and four digs.

Tiffini Santiago had six digs and four assists; Jenelle Gribelevich two kills, one ace, four digs and one block; while Cheyanna Rivera added three kills, one ace, two digs and two blocks.

OLEAN PREVAILS

OLEAN — Olean was a 25-7, 25-7, 25-9 winner over Salamanca (3-12, 0-12).

Leading the winners was Sophia Renaud with 19 assists, five aces and four digs; Adele Dwaileebe with six aces, eight kills and three digs; and Destiny Custer with seven digs, four aces and two assists.

DRAGONS WIN

Maple Grove upended Sherman, 25-16, 25-12, 25-9 in a Central Division match.

Bre Hill led the way with 17 kills and six digs; Erin Mansfield added 24 assists; and Sam Snow chipped in four kills and four aces.

The Red Dragons are now 6-6 on the season.

Amaya Lewczyk had three kills, one block, 12 digs and two aces to lead the Wildcats (1-11). Hayden Fisher had two kills and four digs; and Camdin Trask collected four assists and one ace.

TROJANS VICTORIOUS

CLYMER — Southwestern (7-8, 7-5) picked up a 23-25, 25-15, 25-11, 25-12 win over Clymer (3-9).

The winners had seven kills, one block and two digs from Annah Rauh to lead the way. Lauren Cotter added seven kills, four blocks and four digs; Megan Cotter seven kills, two blocks and four digs; Maddy DuBois eight kills and five digs; and Arrington Restivo 25 assists.

Karly Honey had four aces, one kill and three digs for the Pirates; Mikala Einink three kills, three digs and two assists; Emma Wiggers two aces and five digs; and Emma Woods four blocks and three digs.

CARDINALS SHINE

ELLICOTTVILLE — Randolph topped Ellicottville, 25-17, 25-22, 25-20.

Alyssa Adams led the way with 16 kills and five aces; Jill Stahley had nine kills and four blocks; and Eve Adams had 17 assists.

Heli Kongats had five kills and nine digs for the Eagles, Makenna Smith 11 assists, while Jenna Hadley added four kills and six digs.

WESTFIELD WINS

WESTFIELD–Host Westfield held of Brocton for a 19-25, 25-18, 22-25, 25-17, 25-22 win on Wednesday.
