Seven-year-old Piper Ecklof participated in the 7-9 Division in the Junior World Long Drive competition in Rochester on Saturday. Piper was invited to join after having the longest drive in a qualification run for the Drive, Chip, & Putt Competition in June in Erie, Pennsylvania. Piper did not beat her original qualifying distance of 115 yards Saturday, but earned the opportunity to walk out with the World Long Drive professionals during their finals, which will air on the Golf Channel tonight at 6 p.m. Piper is in her second year playing golf and participates in the Moon Brook Country Club Junior Golf Program.
