On Sunday, the Cheetah West Volleyball Club finished their club season at the Western Empire Volleyball Association Rally II Tournament at Gates-Chili High School. The team went 6-0 in their pool, defeating VolleyFX Trick (Rochester), Eastside Ice (Macedon), and LAVA Rocks (Caledonia-Mumford). In the gold bracket, they defeated Niagara Frontier Black (Buffalo) 25-10, 25-13 in the quarterfinals and Club Syracuse Blue 25-16, 25-17 in the semifinals, before losing to Whirlwind Elite (Binghamton) 17-25, 19-25 in the finals. The team was awarded medals for finishing second out of 22 teams. The team competed in seven tournaments, four of which were 15U tournaments. They made it to the gold bracket in every tournament. Once they made it to the quarterfinals, three times to semifinals and three times to the finals. Pictured, in front, from left, are: Ava Olson, Jenna Waters and Brynn Engdahl.
