Susan D. Fardink
Susan D. Fardink, 76, formerly of Route 474, Ashville, passed away Friday, March 20, 2026, at UPMC Chautauqua. She was the widow of Charles Fardink, whom she married Nov. 19, 1966 and who died July 2, 2019.
Susan was born March 22, 1949, in Warren, PA, a daughter of the late Eugene and Louise Brawdy Smith. She was employed by the former Dahlstrom Manufacturing and previously, Falconer Diecast.
Susan loved genealogy and enjoyed writing stories, photography, sewing and cross stitching, snowball fights, squirt gun fights, and time spent in nature, especially at the swamp.
Surviving are five children: Robin (Andy) Seekings of Sherman, Charles (Stacey) Fardink, Jr. of Ashville, HopeAnne (Kevin) Bailey of Lakewood, Jason Fardink of Erie, PA, and Jill Fardink of Ashville. Susan is also survived by fourteen grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren; and a brother, Ronald (Theresia) Smith of Warren, and sister, Sandra Joan Fiscus of Clarendon, PA.
Along with her parents and husband, Charles, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Billie Jean Taylor and Alice Gesaman.
Following Susan’s wishes, burial will be in Starbrick, PA. A celebration of life at the Celoron Fire Hall (open to all) will be held Saturday, March 28 at 1 p.m.
