Lorraine C. Bouma

The daughter of the late John and Margaret Carlson, Lorraine was born in Chicago, IL on Nov. 5, 1937. She was a 1955 graduate of Fenger High School in Chicago.

Along with her late husband Bruce, Lorraine was a resident of Jamestown, NY since 1976.

Before her retirement, she was an administrative assistant at Shearson Lehman Brothers in Jamestown for many years.

Lorraine was a long-time member of the Viking Lodge, the Marvin House, and Mozart Club. She loved spending time with her daughters and their families. She also had a deep love for all animals, birds, Elvis Presley, puzzles of any kind, and shopping.

She will be remembered by all who knew her for her kind and generous heart.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce A. Bouma, in 2015.

Lorraine is survived by three daughters: Lynn (Bill) Henderson of Pittsboro, NC, Nanci (Damian) McDonald of Cold Spring, NY, and Jennifer Lynn Bouma of Rochester, NY; and three grandchildren: Emily Henderson of Winston Salem, NC, Wylie (Amy) McDonald of Bethesda, MD, and Quinn McDonald of Elkridge, MD.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 24th from 11 am – 12 pm, followed by a celebration of life service from 12 – 12:30 pm at the Lind Funeral Home. The Pastor Melody Overend will officiate.

A graveside ceremony will follow at Lake View Cemetery.
