Jacqueline “Jackie” West Bernard Paddock, 91, of Jamestown and formerly of Mayville, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 10, 2025, at Heritage Park Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Jamestown, NY, following a courageous battle with Dementia. She was born May 1, 1934, in Fredonia, NY, the daughter of the late Gerald West and Esther Blodgett West Bernard.

Jackie was a 1952 graduate of Cassadaga Valley Central School and married Paul Warren Paddock Sr. of Mayville. Early in her married life, Jackie worked as a grape tier and picker as well as cleaning people’s homes. She and Paul raised three children: Gerald, the late Paul W. “Skip” and Robin.

She was a loving mother, sister, daughter, wife, friend and grandmother. She was a foster grandparent when she lived in Fredonia and was a part of the New Horizons band where she played the clarinet. She collected Micky and Minnie Mouse items and loved spending time with her friends and family. Jackie was spunky and enjoyed life.

Jackie is survived by two of her children, Gerald Paddock of Lakewood, NY, and Robin (Robert) Delcamp of Mayville, NY, 15 grandchildren- Miranda Paddock of CA, Gwen Mitchell of OH, Reuben (Amanda) Paddock of Mayville, Melissa Paddock of Lakewood, Ivana Nuccio of Bemus Point, Morgan Neal of Jamestown, Mackenzie Paddock of Lakewood, Hannah Logan) Alexander of Lakewood, Joe (Michelle) Neubauer of Forestville, Shauna Rodriguez of Brocton, Josh Paddock of Niobe, the late Dennis “Allen” Pugh Delcamp of Wyoming, Sorena (Bob) Gilkinson of Mayville, and Cassandra Delcamp of Mayville. Many great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews also survive Jackie.

Jackie was preceded in death by her parents, Gerald West, Esther Blodgett West Bernard and stepfather, Emily Bernard, her sister, Beverly West Bernard Collins, her husband, Paul W Paddock Sr, her son, Paul W Paddock, Jr, and her grandson, Dennis “Allen” Delcamp.

The family will receive friends for calling hours on Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2025, from 1-3PM and 5-8PM at the Freay Funeral Home in Mayville (139 S Erie St). The funeral will be held at 11AM on Thursday, September 18, 2025, also at the funeral home. The Rev. Daniel Prewitt will officiate. Burial will be in the Westfield Cemetery.
