Betty was an excellent cook and baker, and enjoyed her family, her church, reading a good book, traveling with her husband, and visiting with dear friends. She worked several different jobs over the years, including Western Union and the Telephone Company in Jamestown, NY, andDigital Equipment Corporation and Belk Store Services in Charlotte, NC. Her most delightful job in retirement was working for Blumenthal Performing Arts in Charlotte, NC, where she also nurtured new and lasting friendships.

She is also survived by generations of nieces and nephews from her beloved family. To the Vizine nieces and nephews, Betty was the last Aunt on the Vizine side of the family to pass away, ending an incredible history of family love and gatherings.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Richard McMasters of Jamestown, NY; and her beloved husband of 49 years, Charles Vizine, on June 13, 2003.

While married in this life for 49 years, Betty and Chuck had a connection that is eternal. They both left this world on June 13th, approximately 5 am, 22 years apart.
