Clymer Recognizes Students Of Quarter
CLYMER – The Clymer Central School recently announced its “Pirate Pride” students for the second quarter. They are:
The Student of the Quarter for kindergarten through third grades is kindergartner Rylee Ball, the daughter of Joshua and Brelynn Ball. Some of her favorite subjects in school are art class and doing crafts. After school, Rylee likes to play with her sister. Her hobbies include dance, crafts, coloring, drawing and looking for beach glass. She is really good at drawing and art. Rylee shows kindness at home by helping with the dishes and teaching her sister new things. Rylee’s hero is her dad because he can fix anything. When Rylee grows up, she wants to be a Findley Lake firefighter.
The Student of the Quarter for fourth through sixth grades is sixth grader Kristen Nickerson. Kristen is the daughter of Sarah and Nathan Nickerson. Kristen’s favorite things to do in school are pep band and field day. After school, Kristen likes to work on the farm, play football, basketball, go horse riding and play with her dog. Her hobbies include playing basketball and football and 4-H, raising her steer. In addition to her hobbies, Kristen is really good at basketball and showing her steer. She shows kindness at home by cleaning the house and taking care of the animals. Kristen’s hero is her mom because she is kind and teaches her new things. When Kristen grows up, she wants to be a farmer.
The Student of the Quarter for seventh through ninth grades is ninth grader Adalynn Wiggers, the daughter of Jarrett and Elizabeth Wiggers. Addie’s school activities include varsity volleyball, varsity basketball, varsity softball, and SADD. She has been a part of the varsity volleyball team when they were runnerups two years in a row for the Section IV Class D finals. She has also participated on the varsity softball team when they were Section IV Class D final runnerups. Addie also made the second team during her eighth grade year for all star softball. Outside of school, Addie attends church and church events and plays on a travel softball team in Girard, Pa. Her hobbies include playing sports with her dad, hunting, drawing and hanging out with her sisters. When Adalynn graduates, she plans to attend college where she can continue her softball career while learning a profession in the medical field.
The Student of the Quarter for 10th through 12th grades is senior Kamren Christensen, the son of Melissa Burnett. Kamren’s school activities include a role in the senior play, varsity football and participating in the work-based learning program working at Lictus Keystone. He volunteers every Tuesday at the Willow Creek Thrifty Treasures when they are open. Kamren has made the merit roll, received the Student of the Quarter award and has been honored with the prestigious Howard McMullin Award for varsity football. Outside of school, Kamren likes to attend dirt track racing, truck pulls and ride ATV’s. When Kamren graduates, he plans on attending college for a business degree or to become a NFL football coach. He also has a dream of owning his own construction business.
