Michael A. Long, 46, of Jamestown, passed away Sunday, April 27, 2025, at ECMC Hospital. He was born on March 12, 1979, to Bruce A. Long and the late Rebecca Yates Vaughn.
A lifelong Jamestown resident, Mike was a jack-of-all-trades. Working in maintenance at several locations, he was a skilled mechanic and carpenter. When he wasn’t tinkering and fixing things, Mike was helping others. He spotted friends in need and assisted without hesitation; moreover, if Mike could not resolve another’s need, he would find resources who could.
More than anything else, Mike loved his daughter and sons. He was proud of their ever-evolving accomplishments.
The generous nature of Mike’s heart and soul will be missed by his father, Bruce (Patricia) Long of Jamestown; his daughter, Everlie Long; his sons, Blake Tanner and Travis Tanner; his longtime friend, Ashley Tanner; as well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Besides his mother, Mike was preceded in death by his wife, Andrea Renee Stam Long, who passed away Sept. 10, 2024, as well as his grandparents.
The family will receive friends for a time of visitation from 2-4pm on Sunday, May 4, 2025, at Lind Funeral Home.
