Patricia Ann Nelson
Patricia Ann Nelson, 73, of Frewsburg, passed from the loving arms of her family to the loving arms of her Lord and Savior on Saturday, July 27, 2024 in UPMC Hamot, Erie, PA.
She was born on May 21, 1951 in Jamestown, a daughter of the late Willis C. and Verna Stoddard Hale.
She was a 1969 graduate of Frewsburg Central School.
Before retiring, she was a library aide at Myers Memorial Library and in earlier years was employed at Quality Markets in Frewsburg.
Pat loved being in the company of family and friends. She coveted her close relationship to her cousin Mickey, they were like sisters. She looked forward to her times with friends at The Dinner Bell at the “morning table. She especially enjoyed her time with her friend Sandy. She was a gifted painter and loved her weekly Monday painting sessions. Pat could be heard many times saying she “loved her little town.” She also loved her Levant Church family where she was an active member.
Pat is survived by her three daughters: Mary (Jerry) Pischera of Falconer, Cara (Tim) Fyvie of Randolph, Christine M. Nelson of Jamestown; six grandchildren: Jarrett (Erin) Pischera, Samuel Pischera, Lillian Barber, Avean Velazquez, Suniyah Velazquez, Kate Fyvie; two step-grandchildren: Taylor Dietrich and Joshua Fyvie; a brother Jim (Doris) Hale; a sister Kathy Ekstrom; a sister-in-law Laura Hale; a niece Karen Patricia Sherman; six nephews: Matt Ekstrom, Scott Ekstrom, Nick Hale, Drew Hale, John Hale, Chris “Bubby” Hale; and her former husband and father of her children Dennis R. Nelson.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother John Gray Hale.
A memorial service will be held at 11 am on Thursday, August 1, 2024 in Levant Wesleyan Church. Pastor Al Meyers will officiate. A luncheon will immediately follow the service in the fellowship hall of the church.
Friends will be received from 4-7 pm on Wednesday in the Peterson Funeral Home, Frewsburg.
