Gail A. Borst

Gail A. Borst

Gail A. Borst, 67 of Clymer, NY, died Saturday, March 23, 2024 at Saint Vincent Hospital, Erie, Pa.

She was born in Jamestown, NY on September 2, 1956 a daughter of the late Harold and Syble Green Tenpas.

Gail was raised on a dairy farm and graduated from Sherman Central High School in 1974. She then attended Jamestown Community College where she met Donald and married soon after she graduated in 1977 with a nursing degree. Gail was a registered nurse and worked in many roles and was great at them all. She recently retired from UPMC Chautauqua.

Gail was a Christian woman of God and was a lifetime member of Clymer Hill Reformed Church. She was a friend and giver to all, a loving wife mother and daughter. A devoted sister, aunt and incredible Grandmother. She loved to cook, bake, quilt, sew and garden. A below average speller but you can’t be great at everything and a collector of all things fabric.

In addition to her parents, Gail was preceded in death by her brother Richard Tenpas.

She is survived by her husband Donald Borst, whom she married September 10, 1977 in Clymer, Ny; by three daughters, Stephanie Redlecki (Jeremy) of Clymer, NY, Karri Reichmuth (Chris), Depew, NY and Kelley Vindas (Michael) of Buckeye, AZ. By Three brothers, Steven Tenpas (Jane), Stanley Tenpas (Kathleen) and Bruce Tenpas (Tammy) all of Clymer, NY. She is also survived by eight Grandchildren; Alex, Daniel, Brandon, Seth, Hannah, Connor, Collin and Brennan. Also by many nieces, nephews, cousins and very likely hundreds of friends and a couple of strange cats.

Family and friends may call at the Clymer Hill Reformed Church, Clymer on Wednesday March 27, from 11am until the time of the funeral service at 1 pm. Pastor William Greenwald will officiate.

Burial will be in Holland Cemetery, Clymer, NY

Flowers are gratefully declined and donations may be made to Clymer Hill Reformed Church, 8441 Ravlin Hill Rd, Clymer, NY 14724 or Clymer Volunteer Fire Dept., 550 Sherman St., Clymer, NY 14728.

Gail is gone too soon…Far too soon. But it is quite likely God needed some quilts made, and maybe a cake. They will be extraordinary…Just like Gail.

Funeral arrangements are under the care of Bracken Funeral Home, 315 N. Center St., Corry, Pa.
