Phyllis C. Frink

She was born Dec. 2, 1925 in Butler, NY, the daughter of the late George E. and Marjorie L. (Washburn) Colvin.

Phyllis was a 1943 graduate of Leavenworth Central School and attended the Eastman School of Dental Hygiene, Syracuse University, Jamestown Community College and the University of Buffalo.

She and her late husband Don, worked together on their Coldspring Street Dairy Farm in Randolph from 1943-1977. She also worked as a Dental Hygienist at Jamestown HS and Randolph Central School in the Gail N. Chapman Elementary. Following retirement, she worked as an aide at the Randolph Free Library.

Phyllis was a member of the East Randolph United Methodist Church, 60 year member of the Randolph and Little Valley Order of Eastern Star, Randolph American Legion Unit 181, Life Member of the NYS Teachers Association and was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR)

She enjoyed quilting, gardening, reading, crossword puzzles and jigsaw puzzles.

She is survived by a daughter; Donnalee (Tim) Shields of Randolph, two sons, Mike (Patricia) Frink of Jamestown and Tim (Connie) Frink of Bloomington, IN, five grandchildren; Seth (Nicole) Shields, Matt (Marissa) Shields, Patrick Frink, Sarah (Kevin) Moore and Dr. Ian (Dr. Morgan) Frink, step-grandchildren, Scott Craker, Sheri Trout, Jason Sprague and Breanne Sprague, as well as, nine great-grandchildren: Xander and Coltin Frink, Rosalind and Rachel Moore, Ayden, Wyatt, Finn, Oliver and Milo Shields, a brother Neil Colvin and sister-in-law, Eulita Colvin and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Frink, whom she married on April 9, 1949 and who preceded her on Feb. 15, 2017, brothers, Donald, Lee and Gerald Colvin, beloved sister-in-law, Doris Frink Stone.

The family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday Sept. 17, 2023 from 12-2 P.M. in the East Randolph Methodist Church, where services will follow at 2 PM. Pastor Tim Middleton will officiate. Inurnment will be in the Randolph Cemetery.
