Richard H. “Dick” Neckers

He was born on April 4, 1931 in Sherman, NY the son of the late Henry B. and S. Marie (Kearns) Neckers.

Dick attended Sherman and Clymer schools and was a 1949 graduate of Clymer Central School. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War aboard the aircraft carriers USS Monterey & USS Tripoli. He was a New York State Police Officer serving Troops A&T retiring with 23 years of service. He also worked for Renold, Inc. in Westfield for 13 years until he retired in April 1993.

Dick is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, Clara M. (Madonia) Neckers; a daughter, Cheryl (Mark) Roberti of Salina, KS; grandson, Matthew (Taylor) Roberti of Manhattan, KS; a great granddaughter, Quinn Maria Roberti; also survived by a special nephew, Scott Warnshouse and several other nieces & nephews.

He was preceded in death by two brothers , Wade (late Edith) and Leo (late Helen) Neckers, a sister, Betty (late Everett) Warnshouse, his father-in- law and mother-in-law, Joseph and Mary Madonia, two brother-in-laws, Samuel (late Maryann) and Louis (late Norma) Madonia and a sister-in-law, Mary (Anthony) Fosco.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Dominic’s Roman Catholic Church located at 15 Union St., Westfield, NY at 11:00 AM on April 18, 2023. Internment will follow at St James Cemetery located on E. Main St. in Westfield, NY.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Mason Funeral Home, 37 Clinton St. Westfield, NY.
