Bonnie L. Smith, 57, of Lakewood passed away peacefully Thursday (February 16, 2023) in her home, surrounded by her loving family after a brief battle with cancer.

She was born on June 2, 1965 in Jamestown the daughter of the late Roger S. and Brenda J. Woodruff Smith.

Bonnie graduated from Jamestown high school in 1983 and began working at Fancher Chair in Falconer in 1984. She also worked for Ethan Allen Furniture Company at the Mayville Plant for five years until they closed in 2003. Bonnie then returned to Fancher Chair in 2004 and was employed with them until she became ill. She had many wonderful years with them as a sander and took great pride in her job and the quality of work that she completed.

Bonnie was an avid softball player. She played in high school and later played slow pitch in many local rec teams in the area. She also loved bowling where she had a high score of 288, and golfing.

Bonnie enjoyed bonfires, sliding down her driveway, and flipping pancakes at the “Amalgamated Flippers” flying breakfast at the Goose Creek Airport. She was also very fond of her 2/1 Tim Hortons coffee and eating fish fry at Davidson’s on Friday nights.

Surviving are her longtime companion: Amy Jo Stormer of Lakewood; five siblings: a twin Connie (Todd) Lawson of Jamestown, Scott Smith (Tina Farley) of Silver Creek, Kimberly (Randall) Honey of Jamestown, Lori Sisak of Jamestown, Shelly (James Maxwell) Smith of Jamestown; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, relatives, and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

The funeral will be held on Tuesday (February 21, 2023) at 3 p.m. in the Falconer Funeral Home.

Matt Benedetto and Rev. Carmen Perry will officiate.

Friends will be received from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.
