City DAR Chapter Meets, Inducted 3 New Members
The Jamestown Chapter of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution met recently and inducted three new members. Pictured are Jamestown Chapter Regent Tammy Lachner and Chaplain Peggy Kelwaski with new members Christina Jones, Vaughn Wilson and Mary Whaley.
The Jamestown Chapter National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution held its April meeting recently.
The Partridge Sheldon house was opened for Spring. The Jamestown Chapter Regent Tammy Lachner and Chaplain Peggy Kelwaski inducted three new members into the chapter. Inducted to the chapter were Christina Jones, Vaughn Wilson, and Mary Whaley. Each member was given a new member packet and a flower.
The program focused on the founding of DAR.
The chapter has a field trip planned for Sunday where the group will visit the birthplace of one of the three founders of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution, Mary Smith Lockwood, in Chautauqua County.
The next meeting will be held Saturday at 9 a.m. at the Partridge Sheldon Chapter House.
