Lester M. Smith Jr.

He was born March 3, 1953 in Palm Beach County, Fla., a son of the late Lester Milton Smith and Elizabeth Rose (nee Francis) Smith. He was a U.S. Army Vietnam veteran and served from 1972-74. He also enjoyed fishing and was a truck driver.

He is survived by his wife, Kathleen (Burdic) Smith, whom he married on Dec. 10, 1993; his children: Richard (Ashley) Smith of Delevan, Angela Wicks of Jamestown, and Gary (Beth) Crawford of Gowanda; his siblings: Jim Cleveland of Frostproof, Fla., Daniel Smith of Jamestown, Steve Smith of Jamestown, John (Laurie) Smith of Greeneville, Tenn., Katherine (Tony) Muro of Lewiston, Deborah (Shane) Anderson of East Concord, Melissa Smith of Rochester, and Tiffany (Terry) Colburn of Falconer; his stepmother, Peggy Smith of Jamestown; also survived by 10 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Timothy Smith.

Friends may call on Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2022, from 11a.m.-1p.m. at the W.S. Davis Funeral Home, 358 Main St., Arcade where a funeral service will be held at 1p.m.
