Malesia “Lesia” Flagella

Leisa was born on April 13, 1956, in Jamestown, N.Y., the daughter of the late Loyal and Hazel Cochrane Cochran. After the death of her father, Leisa was raised by the Rev. Clarence Bower.

Leisa was a support specialist at Aspire, Lakewood, N.Y., for over 15 years. Leisa was a very loving woman, her family meant the world to her.

Leisa is survived by two sons: Greg “Melissa” Flagella of Warren, Pa., and Neil Flagella of Jamestown, N.Y.; three brothers: Dean Cochran of Jamestown, N.Y., Larry “Lois” Cochran of Gulfport, MS and Tim “Brenda” Cochran of Gerry, N.Y.; four sisters: Linda Burch of Oregon, Malodie “Bill” Hebner of Gulfport, MS, Autumn “David” Mazzone of Jamestown, N.Y., and Tammy “Gene” Slocum of Lockport, N.Y.; four grandchildren: Logan Flagella, Breanda Litzen Abigail Flagella and Margaret Bailey. She had several nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.

In addition to her parents, Leisa is preceded in death by her husband, Patrick “Pat” Flagella, whom she married on Dec. 11, 1976 in Jamestown, N.Y., and who died on July 25, 2016; her daughter: Jennifer Maria Flagella (in infancy) and her brother, Tommy Cochran.

Family and friends may call at Powers, Present & Sixbey Funeral Home, Inc., 316 E. Fifth St., Jamestown, N.Y., on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. A funeral service will be held there at 1 p.m. Burial will be in Cassadaga Cemetery, Cassadaga, N.Y.
