Jean M. Trisket

Jean M. Trisket, a life-long resident of Panama, N.Y., passed away April 4, 2021 at the Corry Manor Nursing Home. She was born April 22, 1923 in Corry, PA and was the daughter of Jesse and Anna Peterson Manwaring. Jean was the widow of Roger Trisket, whom she married August 28, 1943 and who died October 11, 1979. She was a 1939 graduate of Panama High School and in 1943 graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from Edinboro State Teacher’s College. Jean also did graduate work at Penn State University, SUNY at Fredonia, Syracuse University and the University of Manchester, in Manchester, England. She taught in Kane, PA., Columbus, PA., Glendale, AZ., Panama, N.Y. and retired from the Love School of the Jamestown Public School System in 1978. She was a member of the New York State Retired Teaches, Chautauqua County Retired Teaches, Delta Kappa Gamma Beta Beta Chapter. Also the Red Hatters and Panama United Methodist Church where she was an active member. Jean was a woman of faith and loved the Lord. She was a dedicated and caring teacher to all of her students. Jean loved her family and was always supportive of her children and grandchildren.

Surviving are: two sons: Edward (Barbara) Trisket of Niobe, N.Y. and John (Kathy) Trisket of Ashville, N.Y.; six grandchildren: Amy (Bill) Caldwell of Frewsburg, N.Y., Scott (Wendy) Trisket of North Clymer, N.Y., Amanda (Todd) Kolstee of North Clymer, N.Y., Paul (Monica) Trisket of Binghamton, N.Y., Stacey (Pete) Kalidonis of Moon Township, PA., and Beth (Stan) Magusiak of Aliquippa, PA.; fifteen great- grandchildren, one great greatgrandchild, with two more expected this summer; two sisters: Jane Beckerink and Beverly White; she is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Jean is predeceased by her parents, two brothers: Clyde Manwaring and Max Manwaring and a grandchild Mark Trisket.

Calls may be made Wednesday 6-8pm at the SPITZER Funeral Home, 8728 E. Main Street, Clymer, N.Y. and Thursday from 10-11am at the Panama United Methodist Church, 22 E. Main Street, Panama, where a funeral service will follow at 11 am. COVID-19 regulations will be enforced. Please wear a mask and maintain 6′ feet social distancing. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Mrs. Trisket’s memory may be made to Jamestown Meals on Wheels, 2020 Allen St. Ext., Falconer, New York 14733 or the Panama United Methodist Church.
