David E. Beehler Sr.

Dave was born Dec, 19, 1943, in Erie, Pa., a son to the late Bernard R. Beehler, Sr. and Doris (Bilson) Beehler. He was a graduate of Westfield Academy and Central Schools class of 1961.

Dave had been employed by Ajax/Renold Incorporated in Westfield, N.Y., for over 15 years before starting his own business, DESCON/EDM Inc. in Brocton, N.Y. Owning and operating his own company allowed for him to use his skills in both sales and fabrication. He derived great satisfaction in seeing newly constructed systems leave the shop and ship to their final destinations.

Dave is survived by his two sons: David Jr. (Laura) of Dunkirk, N.Y., and Christopher of Westfield, N.Y.; and his daughter, Susan (Joe) Worczak of Dunkirk, N.Y. He is also survived by his cherished grandchildren: Jessica and James Beehler and Joey, Brendan and Lucas Worczak, all of Dunkirk. He is further survived by his former wife, Brenda (Bates) Beehler; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Dave was preceded in death by his brother, Bernard “Bob “Beehler; and his sister. Barbara (Robert) Howard; as well as a brother-in-law, Roy Mazany.

Due to the Covid-19 restrictions, funeral services will be held privately for the family with a celebration of life to be announced at a later date and will be announced by the MORSE funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Dave’s honor can be made to the Patterson Library, 40 South Portage Street, Westfield, NY 14787.
