Margery A. Doty

A lifelong area resident, she was born Jan. 28, 1939 in Kennedy, the daughter of the late Daniel and Florence Hitchcock Walker.

Margery attended Fal-coner High School and was a dedicated homemaker, and was a babysitter for many years.

She enjoyed her family, crocheting, babysitting, jig-saw puzzles, crossword puzzles and reading.

Surviving are her son Harold L. “Bud” (Kelly) Doty Jr. of Busti; three daughters: Diane Doty of Jamestown, Barbara Doty of Falconer, Donna (Bob) Elderkin of Frewsburg; eight grandchildren: Jason (Dara) Brown, Vincent Baran III, Christopher (Tina) Clark, Eric Doty, Brandon (Celina) Eggles-ton, Brittany (Jon) Bragg, Matthew (Alicia) Elderkin, Amanda Elderkin; eight great-grandchildren: Mack-enzie Baran, Benjamin Ber-ry, Joslyn Brown, Ethan Brown, Keira Brown, un-born baby Brown, Emma Eggleston, Rowan Eggles-ton, Zander Clark.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold L. Doty, whom she married July 12, 1958, and who died Sept. 12, 1970; a great-grandson, Matthew Bragg; and two brothers: Harold Walker and James Hitchcock.

The family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. Tues-day in the Falconer Funeral Home. – Burial will be in Valley View Cemetery, El-lington. Due to CDC and NYS Covid 19 Regulations facemasks are required.
