Emogene Estelle Babcock Saulsgiver

Emogene Estelle Bab-cock Saulsgiver, 100, formerly of Hyde Park Drive, Panama, and Or-chard Grove, Jamestown, N.Y., passed away Tues-day, July 21, 2020, at Heri-tage Green Rehab and Skilled Nursing, Greenhurst, N.Y.

Emogene was born on April 3, 1920, in Obi, N.Y., the daughter of the late Earl Babcock and Emi-ly Barber Royce.

She attended school in Richburg, N.Y., Emogene was a member of the Pana-ma Baptist Church and a lifetime member of the North Harmony Senior Ci-tizens Center.

Emogene enjoyed hand-made crafts, knitting, cro-cheting, embroidery and tatting. She handmade over twenty-five quilts sewing them by hand. Her main priority was raising and car-ing for her family.

Emogene is survived by two sons: Gordon (Patricia) Saulsgiver of Lakewood, N.Y., and Steven (Loretta) Saulsgiver of Ashville, N.Y.; her son-in-law: John Saylor of Sugar Grove, PA; her brother: Lyle Babcock of Frewsburg, N.Y.; her sis-ter: Wilma Clark of Geor-gia; 11 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and great-great grandchil-dren and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 58 years of marriage, Dwight Webster Saulsgiver, whom she married on Nov. 7, 1936, and who died on Sept. 12, 1994; her daughter, Ann Saylor (May 16, 2020); three grandchil-dren and one great grandchild.

Memorial donations may be made to the North Har-mony Senior Citizens Center, 5377 Stow Ferry Rd., Stow, NY 14785.

No services will be ob-served at this time. Her family will have a private graveside service.

Inurnment will be in Ma-ple Grove Cemetery, Ash-ville, N.Y.
