Alexander J. “Alex” Foti

Alexander J. “Alex” Foti, 35, of Jamestown passed away at 2:26 p.m. Sunday, July 19, 2020, in the UPMC Hamot Medical Center, Erie, Pa., following a canoeing accident on Saturday, July 18.

A lifelong area resident, he was born June 17, 1985, in Jamestown, N.Y., a son of Joseph A. and Michelle McGrath Foti.

Alex was a 2003 graduate of Jamestown High School and had been employed at the Jamestown Bowling Company since he was 14 years old. He en-joyed growing up around the bowling company where he was a great help working in all aspects of the business.

Alex was a natural athlete excelling as an excel-lent bowler, golfer and loved car racing. He loved going to Stateline Speedway, hanging out with the crews, and was a big sup-porter of Auto Racers for Kids. He also enjoyed taking part in all the activities at the Jamestown Bowling Company.

Surviving are his parents, Joseph and Michelle Foti, two sisters: Kristin (Grant) Olson and Kate Foti, his niece, Isabella Olson, and his companion and best friend, Megan Ludwiczak, all of Jamestown.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Donald and Judy McGrath, and his paternal grandparents, Joseph and Manuela Foti.

Due to restrictions on public gatherings, a private service will be held in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. Reggie Smith will officiate.

Observing New York state guidelines on restrict-ed room occupancies during COVID-19, a walk-through visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. Fri-day in the Lind Funeral Home. Masks are required at all times.
