David Randall Cunningham

David Randall Cunningham went home to be with the Lord on Feb., 26, 2020. at age 68.

David was born July 17, 1951 in Jamestown, NY. He attended Southwestern High School and earned his degree at Jamestown Community College.

David was a proud member of the U.S. Navy and was a National Defense Service Medal recipient. Dave loved aviation and became a certified commercial pilot. David was a CNC machine operator at MRC/SKF for nearly 30 years.

David’s passions in life included God, music, and family. David and his best friend, Butch Town were in the bands “Southern Hill Express” and “Shades Of Grey, that brought joy to many people along the east coast for many years. These bands started the trend of giving old country music a kick of rock and roll.

David was a Christian man and even started a praise band to spread the joy of God to many. For those of you who knew David you know how much love and kindness he spread, he would give his own shirt off his back to help anyone who needed it.

He was loved by so many and will be missed by his wife, Laurie Cunningham; his children: David Jr. Cunningham, Jennifer Cunningham-Summerville, Jason Rivera, Ken Cunningham and his youngest, Christian Cunningham. He also had two stepchildren that he treated like his own, John and Jamie Finley; his brothers: Mike Langford, Ernie Langford and Chuck Langford will greatly miss him, Along with many grandchildren and greatgrandchildren. Dave had many life long friends that will never forget him.

David was the son of Charles and Etta who have passed on and are awaiting his arrival in heaven. David worshipped at the Baptist Church Of Ellington where he was the church treasurer. Dave was a great father, an honorable man and will be missed by many.

As David would want, we will celebrate his life in the form of a party. Please join us on April 4, at the Baptist Church of Ellington at 11 a.m. for the celebration.
