Anne Crasti Messina

Anne Crasti Messina, 90 of Jamestown passed away Feb. 20, 2020 at Heritage green. She was born May 14, 1929 in Jamestown the daughter of Dominic and Antonia Sapienza Crasti.

Anne graduated Jamestown High School class of 1948. She married her husband Sam Messina June 20, 1953 in St. James Roman Catholic Church.

Anne worked at National Worsted Mills for 16 years and then worked at Weber Knapp for over 30 years until her retirement in 1992. She was a communicant of St. James Roman Catholic Church, a member of the Alter Rosery Society, the Auxiliary of the Rod and Gun Club, the VFW, and volunteered at the St. Joseph Table and Summer Festival and the St. James Thrift Store.

Anne is survived by her sons, Phillip Messina of Jamestown and Mark (Wendy) Messina of Salisbury, N.C., her daughter, Roseanne (Richard) Calla of Jamestown, her grandchildren, Joel (Jarrody) Messina of Charlotte, N.C., Jonathan (Amanda) Messina of Charlotte, N.C., Ashley (Matthew) Bowman of Lakewood, Alexandria (Colby) Bradshaw of Grovetown, Ga., Nicole (Randy) Addison of Salisbury, and Matthew Messina of Salisbury, her great-grandchildren, Bennett and Brooks Bradshaw and Brady Addison, and her siblings, Linda (Clifford) Graham of Fla., Rita Ellis of Ohio, and Helen (John) Damond of Jamestown.

Anne is preceded in death by her husband Sam Messina in 2002, her siblings, Anthony Crasti, Frank Crasti, Angela Marino, Frances Young, Josephine Crasti, and Mary Crasti, and her daughter in law Mary Lou (Trussalo) Messina.

Calling hours will be Thursday Feb. 27, 2020 from 4-7 p.m. at Hubert Funeral Home and Cremation Services.

A mass of Christian burial will be held Friday Feb. 28, 2020 10 a.m. at St. James Roman Catholic Church.

Entombment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
