Erma L. Hitchcock

She was born Sept. 6, 1934, in North Clymer, the daughter of Lewis and Florence Pitt Holthouse.

Before retiring, she had worked at Chautauqua Hardware for many years.

She was a member of the Samuel Derby Post 556 American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, Frewsburg.

Erma is survived by three children: Sharon (Richard) Covert of Wellington, Fla., Cindy Blose (Ray Helm) of Randolph, and Brian (Donna) Adelgren of Kiantone; four stepchildren: James, Jeffery, Judy and JoAnn Hitchcock; along with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased in death by her husband, Donald Hitchcock; a daughter, Theresa Ryan; a grandson, Terrance Blose; and three brothers: Norman, Wayne and Harold Holthouse.

The funeral will be held at noon on Saturday, Feb. 2, 2019, in the Peterson Funeral Home, Frewsburg. The Rev. Ronald Lemon will officiate.

Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Frewsburg.

The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service from 10 a.m. to noon in the funeral home on Saturday, February 2.
