William J. Bauld

He was born March 25, 1931, in Lackawanna, the son of William and Josephine Hercek Bauld.

Bill had been employed as a sheriff for Erie County in Buffalo, N.Y. Prior to that he had worked for the former Hecket Co.

He was a U.S. Navy veteran serving during the Korean War.

Bill was a member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Frewsburg. He loved the outdoors, walking in the woods and hunting.

Bill is survived by his longtime companion, Carol Pope of Frewsburg; a daughter, Suzanne (Eric) Swick of Highlands Ranch, Colo.; and a son, William (Theresa) Bauld of West Kennebunk, Maine; five grandchildren: Sarah, Melissa, Jason (Cassandra) Swick, and Will and Katie Bauld; a brother, John (Romaine) Bauld of Canandaigua; and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his first wife, Barbara Bauld; and a brother, Donald Bauld.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at Our Lady of Victory oratory, Saint James Church, Frewsburg by the Rev. Darrell Duffy.

Entombment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, Hamburg, N.Y.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m., Sunday in the Peterson Funeral Home, Frewsburg.
