Evelyn loved the adventures she shared with her husband, Tony, whom she married 65 years ago on Sept. 7, 1953.

She is survived by her husband, Anthony J. Raffa, Sr.: one son, Anthony J. (Michele) Raffa Jr. of Orlando, Fla.; two daughters: Mary Jo (Steve) Bradish and Sara Ann (Bart) Schuver of Jamestown, N.Y.; six grandchildren: Nicholas Bradish, Jamestown, N.Y., Justin Schuver, Tampa, Fla., Jeffrey (Meghan) Bradish, Cleveland, Ohio, Jordan (Keith) Clapacs, Cleveland, Ohio, Alexandra Schuver, Tampa, Fla., and Luke Raffa, Boston, Mass.; one great-granddaughter: Chloe Evelyn Clapacs, of Cleveland, Ohio; three sister-in-laws; one brother-in-law; and several nieces and nephews who adored her.

Besides her parents, Evelyn was preceded in death by her sister, Lee Elardo, who died Sept. 28, 2008; also a young nephew and a young great-niece.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 10, at St. James Catholic Church.

Friends will be received on Sunday, Sept. 9, from 3-7 p.m., at Hubert Funeral Home and Cremation Services.

The family would like to thank the wonderful caregivers and staff at Chautauqua Hospice and Palliative Care and the very special ladies of Compassionate Home Care of NY. “You all went above and beyond to treat our mom like she was your mom. We will forever be grateful!”

Memorials may be made to Chautauqua Hospice and Palliative Care, 20 W. Fairmount Ave., Lakewood, N.Y.
