Barbara A. Turck Green

SHERMAN — Barbara A. Turck Green, 69, of Sherman, died Sunday, Nov. 5, 2017, at Westfield Memorial Hospital.

She was born Feb. 28, 1948, the daughter of Betty Dulmas Pinder and Ray-mond Turck.

Barb had primarily been a homemaker, but had also worked for Mayville Plastics until its closing.

She belonged to the Chautauqua County Home Bureau, was a Girl Scout leader and was a summer youth recreation leader for the village of Sherman. Her favorite hobbies were crafting, reading, cooking and baking.

Barb is survived by her three children: Melissa Green of Northeast, Pa., Charles (Roberta) Green Jr. of Sherman, and Melinda (Mark) Ridinger of Bemus Point; six grandchildren: Kody Green, Tiffany (Michael) Parmenter, Joshua John Green, Jason Charles Green, Allison (Austin) Tucker and Rachel Ridinger; one great grand-son; Westley James Parmenter; four sisters: Darlene Webber, Annabelle Chase, Alberta Parker and Tamme Steffan; one brother, Walter Turck; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles L. Green, whom she married Feb. 21, 1965; and one sister, Karen Hartman.

The funeral will be held on Friday, Nov. 10, 2017, at 11 a.m., at the Freay Funeral Home in Mayville. The Rev. Daniel Cook will officiate. Burial will be in Mayville Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m., on Thursday, Nov. 9, at the funeral home (139 S. Erie St., Mayville).
