Carol R. Marsh
Carol R. Marsh, 82, of Asheboro, N.C., formerly of Jamestown, N.Y., passed away on Friday, Feb. 12, 2016, at the Cross Road Alzheimer’s Care Center in Asheboro, N.C.
A Jamestown area resident for most of her life, she was born Nov. 22, 1933, in Jamestown, N.Y., the daughter of the late Harold T. and Edna M. Nelson Schreck.
She was a graduate of Jamestown High School.
Carol was baptized, confirmed and married at the First Lutheran Church in Jamestown.
She is survived by her children: Brenda Marsh (Jonathan) Weiss of Brook-lyn, N.Y., Lori (David) Goehring of Winchester, Mass., Cindy Marsh of Asheboro, N.C., Lisa Marsh (George) Farenthold of Washington, D.C., Julie (Tim) Dalton of Naples, Fla., and Murray S. “Skip” (Karla) Marsh Jr. of Ashe-boro, N.C.; her grandchildren, Emma Goehring, Nathaniel Goehring, Annie Ryerson, Carol Ryerson, Julie Ryerson and Andy Dalton; and her sister, Nan-cy Guida.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Murray S. Marsh, whom she married Aug., 30, 1952, and who died June 26, 2015; two sisters: Frances Pearson and Alice Loughlin; and a brother, Paul Schreck.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov, 19, 2016, in the Memorial Chapel of First Lutheran Church. The Rev. Daniel Nagle, pastor will officiate.
