Marie J. Heinke

Marie J. Heinke, 93, formerly of Falconer, passed away Saturday (May 10, 2014), in Heritage Green Rehab and Skilled Nursing.

She was born Sept. 14, 1920, in Germany, the daughter of the late Adwin and Klara Ratsch.

Marie enjoyed her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, gardening, taking walks, baking, canning, crocheting and sewing.

Surviving are her son, Joe W. Heinke of Kennedy; three daughters: Hannelore (Terry) M. Anderson of Sinclairville, Renate E. Heinke of Falconer, and Dorothy M. Heinke of Clearwater, Fla.; five grandchildren: Tracy Peterson, Shane Heinke, Scott Heinke, Emile Monda and Lakin Larson; nine great-grandchil-dren: Justin Peterson, Brittney Peterson, Nicholas Peterson, Benjamin Dilly, Bryce Heinke, Mackenzie Heinke, Ellaina Heinke, Audrina Monda and Peyton Monda; and she was one of 12 brothers and sisters.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Heinke, whom she married April 12, 1947, in Germany, and who died Dec. 26, 2007; a daughter, Brigitte C. Heinke, who died March 5, 1975; a great-granddaughter, Faith Marie Heinke in 2008; and her daughter-in-law, Cindy Heinke in 2013.

The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Friday in the Falconer Funeral Home. The Rev. Dan Bender, chaplain of Heritage Group, will officiate. Inurnment will be in Pine Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service Friday in the funeral home.
