Thomas Spring

Thomas Spring, 85, of Dyer Ct., Limerick Twp., died Monday, July 22, 2013, at home. He was the husband of Lillian (Faulkner) Spring.

A former resident of Collegeville, he was born Nov. 21, 1927, in Westfield, N.Y., the son of the late James V. Spring and the late Sybil (Chase) Spring Fox.

Mr. Spring retired in 1965 as a sergeant first class, with Company D., 1st Battalion, 3rd Infantry Regiment, Ft. Myer, Va., after 20 years of service. He then was a purchasing manager for the Louis H. Hein Co., W. Conshohocken, until he again retired in 2000. Mr. Spring was a member of Camp Knox Lodge 919, Free & Accepted Masons, Radclifff, Ky.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Spring is survived by his children: Michael, hus-band of the late Janet (Hasson) Spring, St. Petersburg, Fla., Karen, wife of Richard Bartzer, Eustis, Fla., Linda, wife of Thomas Haley, Brandamore, Thomas, husband of Elinor (Cloud) Spring, Worcester Twp.; Lisa, wife of Michael Grady, Bernville, and Cheryl (Witman), wife of Bruce Tedor, Spring City; his sis-ters: Edna Nelson and Dorothy, wife of Samuel LaMancuso, both of James-town, N.Y.; 22 grandchildren; six great-grandchil-dren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Eunice K. (Dewees) Spring; one grandson; three brothers, and two sisters.

The funeral service will be held July 28, 2013, at St. Luke’s United Church Of Christ, 200 W. Main St., Trappe, Pa., with the Rev. Ann T. Few, pastor, officiat-ing. A private burial was held in Arlington National Cemetery.
